My name is Inge Christine van der Veen and I am a Dutch character designer, illustrator and animator, based in Belgium. As a kid I always wanted to be a giraffe, but as I grew older, I realised that my neck was too short... However, when I started drawing cartoons, I discovered that, with a little imagination, I could be whatever or whomever I wanted to be, no matter how absurd my dream was; art visualizes these dreams. It is my dream to design characters who inspire us to imagine something different.

I worked as a lead character designer on several animation movies, including features such as 'Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness' (Benjamin Mousquet) and 'The Inseparables' (Jérémie Degruson) both produced by nWave Studios; and an unannounced feature of Dreamworks Animation Television.

I also worked on a few small game projects, and I made storyboards for a live action movie called'Mon Héroïne' (Noémie Lefort) from Universal International Studios.
